Finished Basalt Black with a Cinnamon Brown Leather interior this Right Hand Drive 2002 RUF 3600 S was first registered in the UK in December 2007 and originally supplied through RUF Automobile GmbH, this example has been family-owned by its original custodians since it was new!
This 3600 S is an original RUF W09 VIN vehicle, which represents an incredible investment opportunity considering the recent clamour for the marque.
The basics of the RUF 3600 S start with the engine, a much greatly improved variant over the original 3400 S, the engine is the larger 3.6 litre unit. RUF also fitted their much recognisable 18" 5 Spoke RUF design alloy wheels. Distinctly different from your average Boxster S, RUF have upgraded pretty much every significant component of the car and made it an instantly recognisable member of the Pfaffenhausen family!
Inside, RUF added an adjustable boost control, changed the steering wheel to an in-house RUF item and added custom gauges together with a half roll-cage.
The 3600 S produced some rousing statistics: power output was 340 BHP from factory, top speed reached 179mph, and the 0 to 60mph sprint was completed in a rapid 4.6 seconds.
Thought to be 1 of only five RHD 3600 S examples ever to have been built by RUF in Pfaffenhausen as a W09 VIN having an estimated new-build value of over £100,000 in 2002!
With only 18,500 miles showing on the odometer of this distinctive RUF 3600 S, this example is a testament to the family who have owned it since new, keeping the car in pristine condition with regular servicing and maintenance taking place.

The rare, 2002 3600 S is another good example to demonstrate RUF’s creative, experimental side. The 3600 S is a highly tuned Porsche Boxster (986) but unlike its predecessor 3400 S, it features the front fascia of a 996.2 911, which works incredibly well, and the 3600 S certainly had the power to go with its individual design.
The 3600 S is powered by a 3.6L flat-6 engine producing 340 HP and 280 lb ft of torque which made it possible for this unique creation to go all the way to 287 kph (179 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 4.6 seconds, highly impressive figures for a 1299 kg convertible.
